Douglass Christensen has a background in theater and dance and traveled extensively throughout the world while performing. When he and his husband Vincent were caregivers for Vincent’s mother, they started the blog Dementia-Mama-Drama.com. Written with a humorous, bittersweet perspective of their roller coaster ride during her battle with Alzheimer’s, Vincent and Douglass’s goal is to produce a documentary about dementia and gay caregivers, featuring Mama . Upon moving from NYC to Marin (where Douglass grew up) Vincent and Douglass also created a GLBT Facebook page “OUT in Suburbia: Gays Living in Marin,” to bring more visibility to the GLBT community in Suburbia. They wanted to blend in, but not disappear!
